Gloria Dean Cottrell

Gloria Dean Cottrell, 58, of Louisville passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at Baptist North East in LaGrange.

She was a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church in Louisville. She was a hair stylist for Natural Curl in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest R. and Eula May Hornback Freeman.

She is survived by a son, Marty and Amy Cottrell of Louisville; a daughter, Michelle and Danny Pullen of Louisville; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton with the Rev. Bob Sharp officiating. Burial will be in Upton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. today at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton.

Lisa Pendleton Graham

Lisa Pendleton Graham, 39, of Buffalo, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Lisa fought very hard for two months against a very rare CNS Vasculitis Autoimmune Disorder.

She attended Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Buffalo, was a member of Barren Run Baptist Church in Sonora, an employee of Lincoln National Bank’s Loan Department, served as president of the LaRue County Football Boosters, a site-based council member, member of the parent advisory council, and a member of the Family Resource Youth Service Board.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Glenn Clinton “Boone” Graham; two loving sons, Anthony Douglas Huff and Michael Ryan Huff, both of Buffalo; her parents, Thomas and Bonita Pendleton of Mount Sherman; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Leon Bryant of Hodgenville; a sister, Debbie Dever and her husband, Jimmy, of Hodgenville; two brothers, Alvin Pendleton and his wife, Tonya, of Savannah, Ga., and Marshall Pendleton of Shepherdsville; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at the Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Linda Barnes Popham officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Jason Alan Lane, 29, of Louisville, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Mae Lane.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Curtis A. Lane Sr. and Anna Kristine Lane of Radcliff; two daughters, J’Liyah Lane and Jazzlyn Judge, both of Radcliff; a sister, Denise Lane of Radcliff; and two brothers, Curtis Allen Lane Jr. and Robert Allen Lane, both of Radcliff.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with Curtis Allen Lane Sr. officiating. 

The visitation begins at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Nadine Jones Scott, 65, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at Baptist Hospital East.

A member of John Hagee Ministries, she had a zest for life and was a kind friend to everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carvil H. “Scotty” Scott; a daughter, Jeanette Nicole Buckles; and her parents, Dawson Jones and Virginia “Jenny” Underwood.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Jayne and Robert Cook of Elizabethtown, Kathy and Dwight Preston of Constantine and Leasa and Steve Skaggs of Elizabethtown; two sisters and their husbands, Freida and Chuck Philpot, of Elizabethtown, and Wanda and Bill Routt of Hodgenville; two brothers and their wives, Kenny and Cathy Burba, of Oregon, and Eddie and Jimmie Jones of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Alison, Joey, Bobby, Jenny and Scott; five great-grandchildren, Maddie, Morgan, Hayley, Gracie and Paige; her faithful companion, Alan Moss of Elizabethtown, and their beloved shih-tzu, Tommy.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Grace Heartland Church with the Rev. Bud Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Dixon-Atwood & Trowbridge Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
