Some changes we don’t need
Sherry Kelley wants to talk about economics (“Stay on task,” Sept. 11, 2008). This is a subject near and dear to my heart and pocketbook so I will take the time to answer her.
Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006, we have seen a lot of change. Change is something the Democrats are really for, it seems. Two years ago consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high. Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon. The unemployment rate was 4.5 percent. Not bad.
America voted for change in 2006, and we got it.
