Hardin County Water District No. 1 has proposed the first sewer rate adjustment in Radcliff in nearly a decade to the Kentucky Public Service Commission, but city officials said they are not sure the rate is justified.
Water district officials have said a rate study was approved in 2010 to meet revenue obligations to run the utility.
It is the first proposed sewer rate adjustment since the utility took ownership of the sewer system from Radcliff in 2008. The last adjustment was a 2.4 percent increase by the city in 2004, according to General Manager Jim Bruce.
