A woman crossing U.S. 31W near the Econo Lodge in Radcliff was struck by a vehicle Saturday night and has died.
Theresa Rodriguez, 45, of Shepherdsville was struck by a southbound vehicle around 10 p.m.
Police said the crash occurred about 30 feet south of the Spring Street and U.S. 31W intersection in the south bound lane.
According to a preliminary investigation by Radcliff Police, Rodriguez was walking out of the Econo Lodge parking lot into southbound U.S. 31W headed toward Jerry’s Restaurant, directly across the street.
Rodriguez was transported by Hardin County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The official cause of death is blunt force trauma to the head, Deputy Coroner Barry Brown said.
The driver was questioned at Radcliff Police Department following the collision, along with a witness.
Police said more details will be released as the investigation progresses.
