Sherry Pearl’s art on display

Sherry Pearl’s Color the World art exhibit opens Saturday at Wild Earth Gallery in downtown Elizabethtown.

The exhibit showcases Pearl’s colorful pop-art style. Pearl uses bright, acrylic colors, breaking many traditional rules of art in what she calls “whimsical art.”

This is her first local exhibit that features familiar characters in her painting Red and Wolf as well as other popular paintings such as Mother Earth, Mermaid and Blue Couch.

“My lines are simple, the colors bright,” she said.

Pearl will be in the store during the gallery’s Second Saturday hours Feb. 9 to talk about her work. The exhibit runs through March 31.

The gallery at 110 N. Main St. features local and regional artists. I
