Soldier outreach group treats Knox unit to steaks

FORT KNOX — Freedom Alliance sponsored a troop appreciation dinner June 12 at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Louisville.

The thank you dinner hosted 47 soldiers with the 19th Engineer Battalion at Fort Knox which returned from Afghanistan in November.

Freedom Alliance, which also sends care packages to deployed troops, has held 20 similar dinners this year near other military installations throughout the country.
