If this primary campaign has taught us anything it is the more things change, the more they stay the same; and despite the popular Virginia Slims advertisement, we have not come a long way baby.

Sexism can be so subtle that we don’t even know it is occurring. But Hillary Clinton has been attacked with blatant sexism throughout her campaign. While I do not believe it is the reason she most likely lost the nomination, it does expose the misogynist culture that still exists and hurts women today.
