ANNIVERSARIES. Happy anniversary wishes go to Butch and Martha Hornback on Tuesday; Steve and Linda Wade on Wednesday; and Jeff and Erika Gaines on Saturday.
   Johnnie Darrell Knight and Lois Ann Hazlewood will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 19, in the Upton Baptist Church Fellowship Hall with a reception given by their family. They were married Feb. 18, 1961, at Falling Springs Missionary Baptist Church by Brother Clevie Thompson. Johnnie’s cousin, Dean Jenkins, was best man and maid of honor was Ann’s dearest friend, Glenda McDonald Burba. They are lifelong residents of Upton. Johnnie has been a carpenter and farmer all his life and recently retired from Hardin County Schools, where he was a bus driver for 22 years. Ann was a homemaker and beautician until 1985, when she began a career with Hardin County Schools as a cook and cashier at Sonora Elementary School and East Hardin Middle School. She retired after 20 years of service. They have three children, Jamie and Leslie Knight and Jana and Mitchell Highbaugh, all of Upton, and Jayne and Gary Sheroan of Vine Grove. They have five grandchildren, Jonathan, Sara, Jackson, Jayde and Jacob and one great-grandson, Johnnie Tyler, all of which adore their Mammy and Pappy. All friends and family are invited to join them as they celebrate this blessed occasion. The couple request no gifts.
