It is getting colder and a few snowflakes have fallen.I am getting my hopes up.Let it snow.

CHURCH NEWS. Glendale Christian Church will have its 134th anniversary celebration today. This evening the church will hold a new member reception at 6 p.m. Sew Blest Quilters will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The Ladies Circle will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

BAZAARS. The Glendale Fire Department will host a Christmas bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 7, at the fire station. Booth spaces are $20 for a 10x10 space. Booth reservations can be made by contacting Heather French at 270-369-2019 or 270-401-1700, or email glendalechristmasbazaar@yahoo.com.

Country Critter Homemakers Holiday Bazaar is Nov. 15 and 16 at Rough Creek Baptist Church on Howevalley Road. More information is available by calling 270-862-3150. A meal of chili, vegetable soup and sandwiches will be available. This is a nonprofit organization and proceeds benefit those in need in the community.
