If you’re looking for a sassy Saturday, the Historic State Theater has a show right up your alley when it hosts comedian Etta May at 8 p.m.
Known as “The Queen of Southern Sass” and a returning performer at the State Theater, May will present her new show, “White Trash Diaries.”
Winner of the 1999 “Funniest Female Stand-Up Comic” by the American Comedy Awards, she has on appeared “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “Comic Strip Live,” MTV and as a guest commentator on “CBS Sunday Morning.”
Born in Bald Knob, Ark., May’s comedy is laced with stories and observations from a Southern perspective.
Tickets cost $17 for balcony, $22 for general floor and $27 for preferred seating.
