The Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown will offer a family-friendly entertainment option for the Halloween season Friday and Saturday with “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken.”
In this comical mystery, Luther Heggs, portrayed by the late Don Knotts, is a typesetter at a small town newspaper, dreaming of making it as a full-fledged reporter. He gets his shot when he spends the night in haunted mansion, the site of a murder-suicide. Released in 1966, this G-rated film also stars Liam Redmond and Joan Staley.
