The Historic State Theater has launched an electronic survey for patrons to voice their opinions about what they want to see at the newly reopened venue.

"The best way to find out what the community will support is to ask them," said Dana Beth Lyddan, executive director for the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Heritage Council and the Historic State Theater. "We want to let them sit in the director's chair, so to speak, and tell us what they want to see."

The survey is accessible at www.historicstatetheater.org.

"We've placed a link to the survey right on the front page of the site to make it quick to find," Lyddan said. "It's a short and simple survey divided into three sections: films, concerts and live theatrical events."

Those who choose to register at the end of the survey will be entered in a drawing to win a season pass good for one year of movies at the Historic State Theater.
