Stephensburg

Betty Pullen, 862-4844

Hello to all the readers of the Stephensburg column, I am so happy to have so many of you email or Facebook me to let me know how you enjoyed the news. I want to thank Mr. Sheroan and his staff for all their help with this. It has been so long for me writing anything, the help is greatly appreciated.

COMMUNITY BUILDING. We have a community building next to West Hardin Middle School behind Laker’s that is for the community to rent for special occasions, birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers and any family event. I will have contact information in next week’s column.

SPRUCING UP. Pretty Petals has been hard at work doing outside landscaping and it is looking very nice and just makes everything look so pretty. I am sure that Sandra will have some open house dates for the holidays coming up. Last year at Christmas, her shop was so warm and welcoming to all who stopped in for a visit.

GET-WELL WISHES. Get-well prayers and wishes go out to the families of Leslie “Les” Grimes, Velma and Calvin Sarver, Carl Peters, Violia Burton and to all of those I do not know of.

BIRTHDAY WISHES. Birthday wishes to Wayne Napper Jr., son of Wayne and Connie Napper.

FALL BREAK VACATION. Fall break for Hardin County Schools, Oct. 3-7, is the week my family goes to Gulf Shores, Ala., and the weather was in the high 70s and 80s. The family members that went with along were Alex Pullen, Jennifer, Breanna, Jenna Burba, Patrick Peters and his wife, Jennifer, and his daughter, Shylar. We all had a great time.

READING TIME. I have started to read a book called Purpose Driven Life. The writer has asked the reader to read one chapter a day. There are 40 chapters so that means 40 days to read this book. Wish me luck. I hope to read more books this year and enjoy doing so. I hope all of you can do the same.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY. My thought is, “Look into your thoughts and then think about them again. You may find something you did not know was there.”

SUBMIT YOUR NEWS. Once again thank you for reading this. Anyone that has any news or special occasions in the community, please feel free to email or phone. My email is littlebus86@yahoo.comand phone is 862-4844.
