Hello everyone, I hope your Christmas Day was a wonderful one, I know mine was. I spent it with my children and grandchildren and the day was warm with love and as always, great food. My daughter cooked and made her apple cake and we all ate like little cows. I would say pigs, but my dad always said pigs knew when to stop eating but cows did not know when to stop and well, that one fit me this time.
HOLIDAYPLAY. The play the three churches worked on was a success. Unity Baptist Church was filled and the treat bags were great. The brown paper bags always bring back memories of my childhood when Santa would bring the gifts and the brown paper bag of candy and fruit. It always takes me back to my childhood.
BENEFIT. There will a benefit for Kevin and Janice Goodman at 4 p.m. Jan.12 at Howevalley School. Kevin fell out of a deer stand 30 feet and has not been able to go back to work. Kevin has several fractures throughout his body. We are in need of items, cakes, pies or anything for an auction. There will be soups, sandwiches, chili, hot dogs, chips, drinks and desserts. All donations and help are appreciated. For information, call 766-7872.
DANCE. If anyone wants something to do on New Year’s Eve, the senior citizens in Hodgenville will have a dance to help the seniors. A donation of $10 per person at the door is requested. Everyone is welcome.
HAPPY NEW YEAR. Have a great New Year and may your days be filled with love.
