Stokeses celebrate 50th anniversary

Alden J. and Earnestine Stokes of Vine Grove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 21, 2012.

They were married Sept. 21, 1962, in Gloucester, Va.

Mrs. Stokes is a nurse who retired from Ireland Army Hospital at Fort Knox. She is a member of Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff.

Mr. Stokes is an Army veteran and retired from civil service at Fort Knox. He also is a member of Stithton Baptist Church.

They have two children, Karen Stokes of Radcliff and Keith Stokes of Bowling Green; and one granddaughter.
