CLARKSON — A 70-year-old Tennessee man who stopped along the highway to tighten his gas cap was killed Monday afternoon when he was struck by a semi-trailer. Police say his wife of 50 years was in the vehicle and witnessed the crash.
Joseph C. Litz, 70, of Clarksville, Tenn., died when a semi-trailer driven by Jerry L. Howard, 37, of Somerville, Tenn., struck him along side the Western Kentucky Parkway east of Clarkson, state police said.
