Story stood for all the right things

The first time I met Ray Story was 20 years ago this month in the hallways of North Hardin High School.

He came up to me and asked, “How’s Todd doing?”

I had written an article about former North Hardin football standout Todd Perry and his freshman year at the University of Kentucky and Story wanted to know how life at college was for him.

He talked like we had known each other for years when it had been only a few minutes.

Over the years, I heard more about Ray Story from others.
