Engineering students at Elizabethtown High School recently used small blocks to create cube puzzles. Each puzzle included five pieces, each piece using four to six blocks. Students used 3-D modeling software, and geometry principles to build the puzzles. Students did not shy from difficulty level and two puzzles could not be solved within two hours, said teacher Justin Line. The project also provided lessons in creativity and innovation as the blocks are made from a manufacturing company’s scrap wood.
