Sue Cook Gwynn, 81, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at her residence.
She was a native of Wilson County, Tenn., and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, where she was a member of Wesley Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Brown Gwynn; her parents, Joseph Lassiter and Claude Johnson Cook; two brothers, Johnson Cook and Lex Cook; and a sister, JoAnne Adams.
She is survived by a son, Brown (Yvonne) Gwynn of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Suzanne Tohill of Somerset; and two grandchildren, Taylor (Jami) Tohill of Somerset and Kathryn (Christopher) Tohill-Carson of Columbus, Miss.
The funeral was Thursday at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Revs. J.D. Shipp and Allen Gibson officiating. Burial was in Hardin Memorial Park.
Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown handled arrangements.
