Recently, Kelsey Tamayo performed on marimba, piano and harp for the residents of Helmwood Senior Center in Elizabethtown. Tamayo is a sophomore at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and is a percussion student of Robert Van Sice. She is a double-degree student majoring in music performance and music education. In addition, she made the dean’s list with highest honors for the 2007-08 academic year. Students receiving this honor have earned at least a grade-point average of 3.9 or better out of a possible 4.0.
