For 10 years, The Elizabethtown Area Sacred Community Choir has presented an annual concert to the community.
The choir will present “Melodious Milestones and Resurrection Requiem” in March, but needs singers for the choir.
Anyone 15 and older who can commit to the practices is invited to sing with the choir.
Rehearsals are 2:30–4:30 p.m. Sundays from Jan. 9-Feb. 27 at First Presbyterian Church, 1016 Pear Orchard Road, Elizabethtown. Childcare will be provided.
The performances are March 5 at St. James Catholic Church and March 6 at First Presbyterian.
The program features favorites from past seasons and a new composition, “Resurrection Requiem,” written by the Rev. Richard Leach and composer Amanda Husberg.
Professional musicians are mixed with choir members of all levels of talent and experience. A love of music is all that’s required.
The program is designed to bring talented performers in the area to the attention of the community.
“Together, in reflection and admiration of the Lord God’s faithfulness, we celebrate the past and consecrate the future opportunities into His care,” choir director Sida Roberts said.
