Tickets are going fast for Radcliff’s annual showcase of flavor next week.
The fifth annual Taste of Radcliff is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Colvin Community Center. Tickets are $10.
The event is hosted by Radcliff Women’s Club and all proceeds benefit causes in the community, including SpringHaven Domestic Violence Program, Helping Hand of Hope, Wreaths Across America, local scholarships and Hardin County Public Library, said Maria Batistoni, an event organizer.
More than 30 vendors have been booked from the Elizabethtown and Radcliff area to prepare an array of food options ranging from soups and desserts to pork loin and chicken wings, she said.
A host of door prizes are up for grabs and coupons will be given away for items such as food and car washes, Batistoni said. Live Christmas music will be performed to provide a holiday ambiance during the night.
Three hundred tickets were made available for the fundraiser. Batistoni said the club hopes to sell out, reaching its goal of $3,000.
“I’m sure they will go by Monday,” she said.
Batistoni said the money raised during previous events have helped purchase needed items, including furniture and benches for the library that cost thousands of dollars.
As for the atmosphere, Batistoni described Taste of Radcliff as a “great night of food, fellowship, music, entertainment and good prizes.”
“I work my feet to the bone,” she said.
The idea for the fundraiser was born after the club previously hosted a “progressive dinner.” Members decided they wanted to move in a different direction. Batistoni said the decision has paid dividends.
