A Tennessee man has been arrested in connection with Sunday's fire that destroyed Stonesview United Methodist Church.
Randy Shawn Matthews, 37, of Cowan, Tenn., is charged with second-degree arson and third-degree burglary.
Kentucky State Police say Matthews burglarized the church and then set fire to the building. Police say Matthews then stole a vehicle from a residence in the vicinity of the church and was apprehended in the vehicle by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and charged with being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
