The News-Enterprise — A joint effort between police in Radcliff and Elizabethtown resulted in the arrests of three men accused of robbing and shooting a Radcliff man Tuesday.
Radcliff police responded to 880 Mill Creek Road on a call about an assault with a handgun. Officers arrived to find Edward F. Razo with a single gunshot wound to the upper left leg.
Radcliff police detectives along with Elizabethtown police began following up on leads concerning the suspects.
Police on Thursday arrested Elmore F. Ross, 21, of Elizabethtown, who is charged with first-degree assault and first-degree robbery. Police believe Ross fired the shot that struck the victim in the left leg.
Police also say Ross shot himself during the struggle.
Charged with first-degree robbery is Terry L. Hunter, 26, of Elizabethtown, who police say drove Ross to the residence. He also is charged with tampering with physical evidence. Police say Ross bled in Hunter's vehicle and bleach and laundry detergent were used in an attempt to clean the car.
Brandon R. Daye, 22, of Elizabethtown is charged with first-degree assault complicity, first-degree wanton endangerment complicity and first-degree robbery complicity because he was present when the alleged offenses occurred and did nothing to prevent an attack or assist the victim.
Daye additionally was charged with receiving stolen property. According to a police statement, Daye reportedly was in the possession of a stolen handgun that Kentucky State Police are investigating.
Ross is jailed on a full cash bond of $20,000. Hunter has bond set a $10,000 full cash and Daye has bond set at 10 percent of $10,000 on the two of the charges and $500 on the other.
