Three-vehicle wreck sends four to hospital

Driver of one vehicle fled scene

Three vehicles sprawled Saturday next to the intersection of of U.S. 31W and Fairmont Avenue in Radcliff after a wreck that injured four.


Two people were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Hardin County EMS and two were airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville.

Radcliff Police said a GMC SUV pulled into the path of a southbound minivan on U.S. 31W. The van struck the SUV on the passenger side, forcing it into a red car at a stop sign on Fairmont Avenue.

One person partially was ejected from the SUV. The SUV driver fled the scene after the crash, police said, and had not been found as of Saturday evening.

All four injured people were in the SUV.

Firefighters removed some of the injured. RPD was assisted by Kentucky State Police, Elizabethtown Police Department, Har­din County Sheriff’s Office, Hardin County EMS and Radcliff Fire Department.

The wreck is being reconstructed and an investigation is ongoing.
