Toddler killed in one-car crash

A toddler was killed Wednesday morning in a car crash on Ky. 434.

Taylor B. French, 21 months, was pronounced dead at Hardin Memorial Hospital after the car she was in struck a tree, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.

Amy French, 29, of Elizabethtown, was traveling on Ky. 434 when her 1994 Toyota pickup dropped off the side of the road, according to the news release. French overcorrected and lost control of the truck. She entered the other lane, crossed the left side of the road and hit a tree, police said.
