Kentucky State Police Trooper Shannan White received minor injuries in a single-vehicle wreck Thursday night on New Glendale Road near the West Rhudes Creek intersection.

According to a KSP news release, White was on duty and headed north on New Glendale Road when an oncoming vehicle “crossed the center line and into her lane.”

White, 34, steered her vehicle to the right to avoid a collision and went down an embankment, striking a utility pole head-on.

She managed to call for assistance and was transported by Hardin County EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital. White was kept at the hospital overnight for observation.

The investigation into the 7 p.m. crash is ongoing by Sgt. Kevin Burton. KSP Post 4 was assisted at the crash scene by Elizabethtown Police Department, Hardin County EMS and Glendale Fire Department.
