ELIZABETHTOWN — An Elizabethtown businessman died shortly before noon Tuesday as a result of injuries related to a single-vehicle crash along U.S. 62.

William “Rick” Bewley, 55, co-owner of Outdoor Power Source, formerly Shelman Implement, was westbound on U.S. 62 about three miles east of Elizabethtown around 10:50 a.m. when police say his vehicle ran off the right shoulder, over-corrected, and went off the left shoulder where the 1978 Chevy pickup overturned.

Bewley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck during the crash, police said.

He was airlifted to Hardin Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to injuries related to the crash.

Funeral arrangements are being made at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
