Two men suspected of several vehicle thefts were arrested Wednesday, said Virgil Willoughby, spokesman for the Elizabethtown Police Department.

EPD, the Kentucky State Police and the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office have been investigating eight or nine thefts, along with thefts from vehicles, over the past few weeks, according to a news release. Based on their investigation, officers responded to the 14000 block of Hardinsburg Road and found one suspect, a male juvenile, and a meth lab.

Gregory D. Bailey, 18, of Big Clifty also was arrested, Willoughby said.

Some of the property allegedly taken from vehicles has been recovered, but the investigation is ongoing, he said.

Both men have been lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
