Two lanes now open on Dixie at West Point

A northbound and southbound lane of Dixie Highway are now open to traffic at West Point.

A speed limit of 35 mph will be strictly enforced, as continued work progresses on the west side of Dixie Highway secondary to the Oct. 29 train derailment, according to a Louisville-Jefferson County Emergency Management news release.

The 1/2-mile evacuation order also has been lifted in both West Point and southwest Jefferson County.
