Two local women picked for college homecoming court

Two local women are in the running for queen of homecoming festivities at their colleges.

Campbellsville University 2012 Homecoming candidates include Sarah Ames, a senior from Elizabethtown, who is representing the Honors Program.

Campbellsville’s queen will be announced during halftime of Saturday’s football game against Lindsey Wilson College.

At Western Kentucky University, the 22-member homecoming court includes Charlotte Rice of Elizabethtown, daughter of John and Sara Rice. She is a middle grades mathematics major and is sponsored by the Student Alumni Association.

WKU’s homecoming celebration is Oct. 20 when the Hilltoppers play the University of Louisiana-Monroe in Bowling Green.
