An early Thursday morning crash on Dixie Highway in Louisville claimed the life of two Radcliff men.
According to Louisville Metro Police, Laine Lindsey, 34, and Michael Cronin, 34, died in a crash in the 12500 block of Dixie Highway after the green Mitsubishi 3000G they were driving in left the highway and collided with various objects.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene around 1:40 a.m.
According to Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Larry Carroll, Lindsey appeared to be the driver of the vehicle.
Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell said a witness told police the car was heading south on Dixie at a high rate of speed when it left the road and struck a fire hydrant and a post, then continued another 500 feet and struck a light post, causing one of the men to be ejected from the car.
Mitchell said speed appears to be the main factor in the crash and police are investigating.
Funeral arrangements for Lindsey and Cronin are incomplete at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff.
