The sound of oldies music rings through the halls of the Historic State Theater this weekend.

The Van-Dells, an oldies tribute group, takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The group is recording the performance for promotional purposes.

“They thought it was such a beautiful location that they made a special trip down here to see it in person before the show,” theater director Emily West said.

A three man show, their website touts them as “the Three Stooges set to music.”

“The Van-Dells are a true oldies show band complete with comedy routines, clothing changes and synchronized dancing all while performing the greatest hits of the 1950s and 1960s,” West said.

The first part of the show usually is dedicated to the 1950s and the second part to the 1960s.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $25 for a limited number of preferred seating.

The Historic State Theater is at 209 West Dixie Ave. in Elizabethtown.
