Veteran to speak at WKU

-A A +A

Motivational speaker and Iraq war veteran Bryan Anderson will deliver a keynote address at 5 p.m. April 3 at Western Kentucky University’s Downing University Center Auditorium.

Anderson was serving his second tour of duty in Iraq in 2005 when his convoy was hit by an Improvised Explosive Device. Bryan lost both of his legs and his left hand, making him one of the few triple amputees to have survived the injuries.

Since that attack, he has chosen to live life to the fullest. He has launched a successful career as an actor, landing roles in “CSI: NY,” “All My Children” and Golden Globe winning movie “The Wrestler.” And only having one full limb hasn’t stopped Bryan from doing the things he loves including snowboarding and rock climbing.

He recently launched his new inspirational book, “No Turning Back” and will be relating experiences contained in the book at this free event.
