VFW hosts cookout

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10281 and Ladies Auxiliary members were honored to support the 3rd ESC Family Readiness Group Leader’s cookout to commemorate being at the half-way mark in the soldiers’ deployment. Wives, husbands and children of those deployed soldiers spent the day at the pavilion at the VFW Post. The children enjoyed a bouncy house and lawn games, while parents enjoyed the camaraderie of being with others undergoing some of the same issues. The commander, Lt. Col. Robin Higgs, shared the meal and had a good time with families.
