Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10281 Commander Butch Ferrell left, presents a $300 donation to James Sprigler of Boy Scout Troop 600 Eagle Patrol in Rineyville. The post received a request to help provide funds for scouts to purchase 30 all-weather coats to be used for official ceremonies and camping trips. The scouts participated in the recent dedication of the new Veterans’ Tribute at the Elizabethtown Nature Park and laying wreaths at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff. The post also recently donated $315 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana to help provide a home away from home for families of seriously ill children. The charity offers families of critically ill children what often is their only affordable choice of lodging while their child receives medical treatment nearby and supports families who rely on the charity’s one-of-a-kind services to get them through a difficult time in their lives.
