Vine Grove officials want to warn residents about weather dangers coming their way, but they’re not sure residents should get used to waking up to the One Call Now Emergency Notification System.
The system allows the city to send a call to everyone in the system to spread emergency and non-emergency messages. It was used for severe weather warnings in April.
Weather warnings were issued by the National Weather Service in Louisville 10 or 20 minutes ahead of a storm in some cases last month, according to Steve New, chief of the Vine Grove Fire Department.
