Vine Grove officials are working to clean up the streets.
Mayor Blake Proffitt said city police officers, who enforce property upkeep codes, are trying to be reasonable and helpful as they work to catch up on lapsed enforcement.
“The main thing we’re after is compliance,” he said. “We’re not after fee income.”
The city’s property upkeep ordinances have long been in place, but have not greatly been enforced in years.
