Warm Blessings receives microwave

Sgm. William C. McDaniel, U.S. Army retired, presents a microwave oven to Linda Funk, executive director of Warm Blessings, that he, his wife, Barbara, and the veterans at Atria Senior Living Center donated. Warm Blessings delivers meals to seniors who are shut in and currently serve 41 seniors with meals on Mondays and Thursdays. Additionally, each weeknight a hot meal is available to anyone with a need and an average of 50 or more patrons are served nightly. Warm Blessings offers some relief to those struggling to make ends meet by offering hot meals and use of a washer and dryer by appointment, showers, van transportation to the kitchen, blankets, sleeping bags, coats and clothing and personal items as needed.  For information about Warm Blessings, visit Facebook,  www.warmblessingsinc.comor call 270-763-9276.
