The Valley Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Elizabethtown is scheduled to receive millions of dollars in upgrades to increase capacity, and the city council voted Monday to approve a bid for a roofing project as well.
Upton-based Stateline Roofing and Metal Co. Inc. was awarded the contract at $30,525. It was one of two bids for the project. Georgehan Roofing of Louisville offered a bid of $65,200.
Director of Water and Wastewater Utility Scott Fiepke said the project could begin by the end of the week if weather permits, and is slated to take 45 days to complete.
