Gov. Beshear’s office reported Thursday that 20 wastewater treatment plants in Kentucky are on bypass mode because of power outages caused by the storm.
Sewer systems within Hardin County have also been affected by the storm’s power.
Jay Blanton, a spokesman for Beshear, said Thursday evening in an e-mail that there is partial power at wastewater treatment plants in Fort Knox and Elizabethtown, while a treatment plant in Bullitt County was left completely powerless.
