Wathena Kennedy Miller, 75, of Brandenburg, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
She was born April 28, 1936, in Guston to the late Wathen Richard and Beulah Jane Mills Kennedy. She was the registrar for the Ambrose Meadors Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the J.R. Dink Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Buck Grove Baptist Church, the author of two books, a Kentucky Colonel and an avid genealogist. She loved to read, play cards and work on puzzles.
She was perceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” N. Miller; a daughter, Peggy Yvonne Miller; three sisters, Anna Burnett, Virginia Powers and Maurine Cooke; and a brother, D. Eugene “Gene” Kennedy.
She is survived by a daughter, Dawn R. (Raymond) Moscoe of Lexington; a son, Keith (Renee) Miller of Brandenburg; and four granddaughters, Jennifer Leigh Miller, Christina Rose Miller, April Rae Moscoe and Paige Olivia Moscoe.
The funeral was Wednesday at Buck Grove Baptist Church with burial in Buck Grove Cemetery.
Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg handled arrangements.
