ELIZABETHTOWN — A West Point man wanted in the alleged sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 was arrested Thursday in Alabama and now faces charges of rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.
Larry Wayne Kendall Jr., 35, was picked up by authorities in Alabama after local police were notified of his whereabouts in another state. Police had been in pursuit of Kendall for the last several months, said Kentucky State Police spokesman Steve Pavey.
Kendall is lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center in lieu of $235,000 full cash bond.
Pavey said Kendall is suspected of sexually abusing, raping and sodomizing the child of a former girlfriend.
