West Point postponed trick or treating in the city to Saturday because of ongoing cleanup at the site of Monday’s train derailment in southwest Jefferson County.
According to city hall, West Point has rescheduled trick or treating for 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Thirteen cars on a Paducah & Louisville Railway train went off the tracks Monday. Eight of those cars were carrying chemicals.
Because of the ongoing cleanup at the derailment site, U.S. 31W is closed in West Point at Ky. 835.
