Morna Estridge of Sonora will celebrate her 94th birthday today, April 3, at her church, Sonora United Methodist. There will be a potluck meal after the morning service. The church will provide the meat, bread and drinks. Everyone is invited. Happy birthday.
SPRING BREAK. Hardin County Schools will be on spring break the week of April 4 through 8. School will resume April 11.
CHURCH NEWS. Unity Baptist Church in Stephensburg will hold a spring revival at 7 p.m. April 10 through 13. Brother Don Flanigan is the church pastor. Brother Arnold Moon will be the evangelist. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church in Cecilia will hold a revival from April 15 to 17. Brother Charles Gibbs will be the evangelist. The evening services are at 7 p.m. except Sunday. On Sunday, the service is at 6 p.m. and there will be morning services.
St. Ignatius Catholic Church recently held a cake auction. Charles Carson was the chairman and Delbert Masterson was the auctioneer for the event. All proceeds were given to the American Cancer Society.
OUT AND ABOUT. Ervin and Violet Stith visited in Brandenburg last Sunday with Greg, Christy, Devin and Kennedy Stith. Angel and Danny Stith recently visited Ervin and Violet.
The West Hardin High School Class of 65 enjoyed an evening meal together at an Elizabethtown restaurant March 24. Those attending were Violet Stith, Wanda Nichols, Nancy Calvert, Geraldine Exler, Janet Heit, Sheila Gosa, Martha Williams, Carolyn Grimes, Donna Linder and Nina Bohanon. Special guest was Gary Meredith.
APPRECIATION. Katrina Knight and family appreciates all the prayers, calls, cards, food, flowers and visits during the loss of her dad, David L. Knight.
