HAPPY NEW YEAR. I remember when I was a teenager, I figured out how old I would be in the year 2000. I was 42 in the year 2000 and when I figured that out as a teen, I thought how “old” that was. Now it is the year 2013 and I have aged a few more years, yet inside I still feel like that teenager who thought that 42 was so old. The years fly by and as hard as I try to slow down time, it just doesn’t work. My prayer for all of you this year is you will be blessed by our God, you will be safe and well cared for and most of all you will be loved. Enjoy every moment of every day you are given.

BIRTHDAYS. Happy Birthday wishes go out to Tammy Linder, Jan. 7; Jessica Hay, Jan 8; Jaidyn Bow, Jan. 9; Dwight Raymer and Marsha Singer, Jan. 11. Marsha, I am so glad that you finally are catching up to me, but could you start looking like it?

CHURCH NEWS. White Mills Baptist Churchwill resume all of its usual Wednesday night activities this week. There will be choir practice at 6 p.m., a meal at 6:15 p.m. and Good News Club, Youth and Adult Bible Study all at 6:45 p.m. Please come and join in for an evening of learning more about God. All ages are welcome. WMBC will also resume the Good News Club on Thursday at Lakewood right after school. All kids are welcome from kindergarten through fifth grades. A permission slip is needed each week from the parent.

COMMUNITY NEWS. We had a wonderful time at the home of Bobby and Marsha Singer on New Year’s Eve. About 20 of us gathered together to eat, play games and celebrate the New Year. We had a lot of laughs with those who were brave enough to try “Just Dance 4”. There will be stories to tell for a long time about the things we did, but it was all in good fun. At midnight, we hugged each other and then joined hands for prayer for the New Year. It was a great way to start off 2013.

GET-WELL WISHES. Get-well wishes go out to Missy Disselcamp and Sydney Dover. Please pray for these two young girls that they will be completely healed. Also, please be in prayer for Hubert Lee. He fell and broke his hip and will require surgery.

SUBMIT YOUR NEWS. I would like to thank Rhonda Honaker for mailing me birthday and anniversary information. Thanks so much for taking the time, Rhonda, to help me out. I really appreciate it. If you have any information you would like to see in the paper, please call me at 862-4604 or email me at joshuak218@windstream.net. May God bless all of you this week.
