We recently got a new kitten that stays in the house. A friend of mine moved and could not take him with her. I told my husband we were only keeping him until I could find a home for him. A few days ago, my husband asked me if I was even trying to find a home for him. I smiled and said “Of course I am, honey.” The new kitten had the name of Homer, but we have renamed him Buddy. He is such a loveable little guy and finally is starting to get along with our other pets. He sleeps with me and when I am sitting down, he climbs up into my lap. I don’t think that Buddy will be finding a new home. I am pretty sure he already has one.
ANNIVERSARIES. Happy anniversary to Shane and Megan Evans. They will celebrate their first anniversary Feb. 22.
BIRTHDAYS. I would like to wish happy birthday to a very, very special young man, my son, Joshua. Joshua will turn 15 Feb. 18. He is a special young man who loves God, his family and his friends. His dad and I are very proud to call him “son”. Birthday wishes also go out to Brady Hoffman on Feb. 17 and Spencer Singer on Feb. 18. All of these young men are wonderful in their love of God and family.
CHURCH NEWS. Several members of White Mills Baptist Church will attend a creative ministries conference in March. We go there to learn more creative ways to tell others about Jesus. There are clowns, puppets, interpretive movement, video, music, dance and so much more. Plans are underway for more activities celebrating the church’s 175th anniversary. Be sure to keep checking here every week for more updates.
COMMUNITY NEWS. Dot Graham called and wanted me to remind everyone about the White Mills community meetings the second Tuesdays of each month. All residents and members are encouraged to attend.
