SCHOOL’S OUT. Just a reminder there will be no school in Hardin County Schools on Monday for students.

OUT AND ABOUT. Ervin and Violet Stith and Danny Stith visited last Sunday afternoon with Bobby and Larry Stith.

Connor Thompson, son of Nick and Marsha Thompson, went with the Beta Club from Lincoln Trail Elementary School to the State Beta Convention in Louisville. He spent last Saturday night with his friend, Weston.

CONGRATULATIONS. Congratulations to Mary Alice Holt on her retirement from The News-Enterprise.

Congratulations to Rosonna Bow and Kerry Reeves, who were married March 3.

SYMPATHY. Sympathy to the families of Pam Muse, DeAnna Marie Anstead Barton, Donna Jean Basham and Gene Nichols.

WHITE MILLS CIVIC LEAGUE. There is a change in the date of the White Mills Civic League Meeting because of an already scheduled revival at White Mills Christian Church March 18 through 20. The meeting is at 7 p.m. March 13. White Mills Day plans are being made. For information, call 369-8118 or 369-6284.

BENEFIT. A benefit auction and chili supper in honor of the Colvin family, Richard, Amie and children, is at 6 p.m. EST March 23, at Upton Community Center. Chili, hot dog, drink and dessert is $5. For the last several years, Amie has experienced extensive, on-going medical issues. Recently, Amie has been hospitalized twice within a month. This family has accrued many medical bills and has tried to pay what they can. Donations are welcome for the auction, to assist the family in this financial need. Donations have been made by many businesses and there will be numerous items to purchase. Everyone is welcome to attend and participation is appreciated. For information, call 234-4508 or 765-8311.
