Another bout of drive-time snow followed by an arctic chill has resulted in school closings.
Hardin County Schools will be closed today. Other county districts to closed today are in Breckinridge, Bullitt, Grayson, Hart, LaRue, Meade, Nelson and Jefferson. St. James School and Bardstown City Schools also are postponing classes today.
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College announced that it will delay it's opening until 10 a.m.
The National Weather Service upgraded its forecast this morning because of more serious conditions it upgraded the alert level to winter weather warning. It covers Hardin and all neighboring counties. Forecasters predict snow accumulation of as much as three inches today.
Temperatures are expected to fall throughout the day which could turn wet roads and parking lots into black ice. Subfreezing conditions are expected during the entire work week.
