The Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown celebrated National Library Week April 14 through 20 by donating gently used books to both the Vine Grove Woman’s Club and the Radcliff North Branch of the Hardin County Public Library.

Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown helped begin the Hardin County Public Library in Elizabethtown in its early beginnings at the Brown-Pusey House and a bookmobile that traveled over the county. In 1960, the Hardin County Public Library became a reality and the club was recognized for its efforts by the city of Elizabethtown.

The Vine Grove Woman’s Club began a library about four years ago in a bookmobile. In January 2013, the library became a reality in Vine Grove City Hall.

Books also were donated to the Hardin County Public Library, North in Radcliff by the Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown.
